Mobile Web Anti-Phishing Tool Released

A complete authentication platform for securing Web site access from mobile devices that its creator calls an industry first is being offered by Green Armor Solutions.

The provider of NCUA- and FFIEC-compliant authentication solutions to hundreds of credit unions calls its new product the Mobile Authentication Module for Identity Cues Two Factor.

The software works from the financial services provider side without requiring users to install any software on their devices, re-enroll or undergo extra steps while logging in, according to Green Armor Solutions (www.greenarmor.com).

Green Armor says handheld devices such as iPhones, BlackBerrys and Treos typically don’t have that protection built in, making users of their Web browsers more vulnerable to hackers eager to exploit that burgeoning new channel.
